The third attacking player Manchester City is looking to add this summer.

Manchester City has already signed Julian Alvarez and Erling Haaland for next season, bolstering their already potent offense.

The pair joins the likes of Phil Foden, Raheem Sterling, and Jack Grealish on their Premier League-winning squad.

Pep Guardiola is looking to add another forward to his squad, according to Fichajes, with Manchester City interested in signing Rafael Leao.

Leao has had his best season in goal, scoring 14 goals across all competitions. Guardiola may be drawn to his versatility, as he can play out wide as well as through the middle of the attack.

Manchester City may have to offload an attacker this summer as a result of the signing of Leao, with Raheem Sterling and Gabriel Jesus both heavily linked with moves away from the club.

Jesus and Sterling could leave the club during the current transfer window, according to Fabrizio Romano.

Manchester City’s recruitment strategy appears to be aimed at younger players, as Alvarez, Leao, and Haaland are all 22 or younger. Guardiola doesn’t need to significantly improve his current starting eleven after winning the Premier League last season, so bringing in players with high potential could be a wise move.
