Tottenham could now bid for £43 million Chelsea target after he praised Antonio Conte.

Inter Milan could soon receive a €50 million (£43 million) bid from Tottenham for Chelsea target Alessandro Bastoni, according to Inter Live.

TOTTENHAM PLOTTED BASTONI MOVE

Well, the Italy international has been described as a dream signing for Antonio Conte and Fabio Paratici at Spurs – that was according to Dean Jones.

Now, the north Londoners could be about to make their move for Bastoni.

Inter Live believes Manchester United and Manchester City are also seriously considering the prospect of making an offer for the Inter Milan No.95 in 2023.

Interestingly, the Italian news outlet’s claim comes just days after Bastoni openly praised Conte in an interview with Gazzetta Dello Sport, crediting the 53-year-old for taking his game to another level during their time together at the San Siro.

Inter Live quote the 23-year-old as saying: “It is as if I have made a qualitative leap. He is a driving force, a real motivator who makes specific requests to his players, trying to transfer a winning mentality. Of course, bad moments also happen, but the important thing is to know how to get up. I owe him so much.”

So far this season, Bastoni has made 12 appearances for Inter Milan, providing one assist.

TOTTENHAM FACES CHELSEA COMPETITION FOR BASTONI

According to Calcio Mercato Web, Chelsea is also monitoring Bastoni.

The Blues are keeping a close eye on the Casalmaggiore-born colossus, as he will have just 12 months remaining on his contract at the end of the season.

Therefore, if he shows no signs of penning fresh terms, it is likely that Inter Milan will cash in on Bastoni next year.

Chelsea will surely be able to offer the center-back a very attractive pay packet, although we feel Tottenham is in pole position for his signature following his glowing comments on Conte.

Keep an eye on this situation, as Bastoni and Conte could soon be set for a reunion in N17.
