Leicester confident of agreeing new deal with 25 years player

Youri Tielemans, a Leicester City midfielder, has been linked with a number of Premier League clubs in recent years, but he may be set to stay at the King Power Stadium.

Prior to joining Leicester City from AS Monaco in 2019, the Belgian international was heavily linked with a move to Manchester United. Tielemans, according to Sky Sports, refused to wait for a move to Old Trafford and instead chose to join Brendan Rodgers at Leicester City.

While there have been links between United and Tielemans in recent months, Arsenal is another Premier League club guilty of being linked without ever making a formal offer for the midfielder.

Many pundits were led to believe that the Belgian was running down his contract in order to secure a free transfer when his contract expires in the summer.

According to Sportsmail, Leicester is hopeful of agreeing on a new contract with Tielemans.

A new deal has been on the table for almost two years, although sources claim the Leicester hierarchy is confident that an agreement will be reached before it’s too late.
