Man City could benefit from a €5 million windfall from a future transfer of a player now valued at around €25 million.

With Manchester City selling Ivan Ilic to Hellas Verona in the summer of 2021, the Italian media many times that Pep Guardiola’s side would have some kind of priority over the player.

That means that in case the Serie A side decides to sell him, then the Cityzens could step in to guarantee his return to the club.

It looks, however, like Manchester City is not that interested in bringing Ilic back. However, they may still benefit from a future transfer.

As CalcioMercato. today features a story about Juventus and Lazio eyeing the player, they say that he currently has a valuation of €25m.

And from that amount, Hellas Verona would need to pay €5m to Manchester City due to the agreement from his transfer last year.

Ilic is said to be a very wanted man in the market, as, besides those Serie A sides willing to sign him, it’s claimed that ‘various foreign clubs’ have been after him as well.

So regardless of no longer being interested in the midfielder, Manchester City can still be happy with his evolution in Italy, and rub their hands at the thought of getting a nice little income.
