Real Madrid legend rejects Manchester City and Bayern Munich offers, according to reports.

Toni Kroos is one of many Real Madrid players whose current contract expires at the end of the season.

Real Madrid has attempted to persuade the midfielder to sign a one-year contract extension, but the player has thus far rejected the offers. He appears to want a little more time to decide whether to stay at the Santiago Bernabeu.

According to a report from Mundo Deportivo, Toni Kroos has had offers from other clubs as well. Bayern Munich and Manchester City are among the clubs to have contacted and explored the possibility of signing the veteran midfielder next season.

But the report suggests Kroos has rejected both proposals. He is not keen on moving away from Santiago Bernabeu. And it stands, his decision lingers between a prolonged stay at Real Madrid or announcing an early retirement.

Kroos has vowed to come up with a final decision during the World Cup break. He is well aware of the fact that Real Madrid coach Carlo Ancelotti rates him highly and wants him to become a part of the team next season as well.

This may play a key role in convincing the German to extend his stay at Bernabeu for at least another year before he hangs up his boots.

Formerly of Bayern Munich, Kroos had been a part of the Real Madrid side since 2014. During his time at the club, he has featured in 383 competitive appearances, helping the Whites secure five UEFA Champions League titles and three Spanish league titles.

Kroos’ extraordinary tally may only improve by the end of the season, as Real Madrid looking to defend their Champions League and La Liga titles. A treble could be on the horizon, as the team will take part in the Copa Del Rey as well.
