Leicester City has a 10-million-pound lead over Nottingham Forest. midfielder for Huddersfield Town

The Foxes are reportedly in a pole position to sign the young Frenchman who has been outstanding for the Terriers this season…

According to the Sun, Leicester City is ‘leading the race’ for Huddersfield Town midfielder Etienne Camara, who has attracted interest from a number of Premier League clubs.

The 19-year-old has been a bright spark in an otherwise forgettable season for the Terriers, having been a key member of the squad under new boss Mark Fotheringham.

The young Frenchman spent most of last season in the club’s B team before making the move up to the senior squad and has shone this season, catching the attention of some big-name clubs.

It’s reported that Nottingham Forest, Brighton, and the Foxes are all vying to be the ones to acquire his services either in the January transfer window or at the end of the season although Leicester is believed to be in a ‘pole position for Camara.

With midfielder Youri Tielemans potentially leaving the club in January or in the summer, it makes sense Leicester are interested in what could be a good, cheap, and young replacement that they can mold for the future.

In terms of Brighton and Forest, their own midfield could use upgrades although Terriers fans will be quick to remember two of their top players that left in the summer, Harry Toffolo and George O’Brien, to go to the City Ground.
