Arsenal are much interested in PSG midfielder worth £95,000 per week,

Arsenal is interested in signing PSG midfielder Carlos Soler, who the Ligue 1 club may be willing to sell for FFP purposes.

According to France Bleu Azur, Paris Saint-Germain is looking to sign a top midfielder in the coming window, but the club is unable to spend the €60-70 million that would be required due to FFP.

As a result, PSG is willing to sell Carlos Soler, a player they only signed three months ago, to raise funds. According to the same source, Arsenal is still interested in the move.

Soler has made 12 appearances for PSG since signing from Valencia in September, scoring three goals and assisting one, as well as winning a penalty converted by Kylian Mbappe.

But the 25-year-old midfielder has only started five games in all competitions in his three months in France. He’s yet to complete 90 minutes in a single fixture for PSG.

Considering the midfielder is still settling in with his new club, none of that is particularly unexpected.

Players often take a few months to break into a starting lineup, and four of Soler’s starts came in the last four weeks before the World Cup, after just one start in the previous seven weeks.

Soler’s involvement with Spain at the World Cup will also boost his status after he came off the bench to score against Costa Rica.

If PSG really feels they need the funds and are willing to sell so soon after buying, it’s not impossible Arsenal will be in the mix.

The Gunners have been linked with Soler plenty of times in the past, perhaps this is the time it will finally lead to something concrete.
