Jürgen Klopp and Jordan Henderson already gave verdict as Christian Pulisic linked with Liverpool

Christian Pulisic has been linked to Liverpool, and Jordan Henderson has mentioned him. Jürgen Klopp has long been a fan of the 24-year-old.

Liverpool midfielder Jordan Henderson has praised Chelsea and USA forward Christian Pulisic after his performance against England in the World Cup.

The game between the two nations ended in a disappointing 0-0 draw, with little of note happening, but Pulisic has since been linked with Liverpool, with the Reds named by the Daily Mail as a possible interested club in January.

Pulisic was one of the best players on the pitch in Qatar and Reds captain Henderson was impressed with the former Borussia Dortmund player, who moved to Chelsea in 2019.

“They’ve got quick wingers to counter-attack. Pulisic obviously played well. We know him from the Premier League,” Henderson said on England’s official YouTube channel.

Jürgen Klopp is a known admirer of Pulisic and Liverpool made an £11m bid for him when he was 17.

“At the moment he has a contract with Dortmund,” said Klopp when asked about Pulisic back in 2018. “He’s still pretty young and he’s at the perfect place for his development, but if he ever wants to come to England he’s more than welcome.”

His contract expires at the end of next season, and his move to Chelsea hasn’t brought the results many expected.

Chelsea could evolve their attacking next summer, making Pulisic surplus to requirements. At 24, he would be a perfect signing for Klopp and Liverpool, and he would also boost Liverpool’s standing in the States, something that would appeal to current owners FSG, and potential future owners, should they also be American.
