Leicester City’s Çağlar Söyüncü has a contract expiring at the end of this season and his future seems to be at Atlético Madrid.
Multiple reports in the past few weeks have insisted the defender has a deal in place with the La Liga side to join them for free next summer.
As it stands, the Turkey international will leave Leicester as a free agent. The Foxes have less than two weeks to change the situation in the winter market.
Friday’s Mundo Deportivo has a report on the two players, titled: ‘Söyüncü for Felipe, the other remaining movement’.
Atlético is focusing on offloading the Brazilian this month.
Should they be successful, the Madrid club will ‘speed up the operation’ to sign Söyüncü in January, by paying €3m to Leicester.
This would allow Diego Simeone to have an extra center-back, who will fight with Stefan Savić and José Giménez for a place in Atlético’s starting lineup.
To sum it up, the Wolves help Leicester earn a fee through Söyüncü’s sale.
