Liverpool has completed a relatively quiet January transfer window.

Before the new year had even begun, the Reds agreed to sign Cody Gakpo from PSV Eindhoven. Since then, Liverpool has been linked with a number of potential new signings.

For much of the transfer window, the majority of the speculation has focused on the midfield. Over the last few weeks, a slew of names has been linked with a move to Anfield.

But there are plenty of free agents out there who could be of interest to Liverpool. In fact, there are two that we have picked out that could help Jurgen Klopp at the current moment.

Former Real Madrid midfielder Isco is currently without a club. It seemed set that the Spain international would sign for Union Berlin, but the deal fell through on the deadline day.

This means the 30-year-old can sign with another club. He joined Seville on a free transfer last summer but left the club at the end of the season.

Zakaria Labyad is another player who could be of interest to Liverpool. Since leaving Ajax at the end of last season, the midfielder has been without a club.

During his time in Amsterdam, the 29-year-old had a fairly impressive goal record from midfield. In 54 appearances, he scored 13 goals and assisted on 10 others.

Labyad has twice represented Ajax against Liverpool. Both came during the 2020/21 Champions League group stage matches, which the Reds won 1-0 on both occasions.
