Manchester City’s star has ‘asked’ the club to let him go. During the summer – Has a particular destination in mind

Manchester City midfielder Bernardo Silva has ‘asked’ the club to ‘let him leave’ this summer in order to join Barcelona or Real Madrid in La Liga.

According to Sport, the player “will listen” to offers from Barcelona and Real Madrid if they come in.

They explain that the Portuguese star did not listen to any offers made to him during the January transfer window and had no intention of leaving that market in the first place.

He has agreed to leave Manchester City in the summer, and Barcelona, who are long-term admirers, are aware of this. However, his signing is currently regarded as ‘almost impossible’.

In any case, Silva will be one of the biggest names in the summer transfer window, having already decided to leave Manchester City.

His ‘determination is clear,’ he has told City, and he hopes to leave on an ‘agreement basis,’ rather than forcing an exit.

He had already spoken to the club about a move last summer if a good enough offer came in, but Manchester City valued him at €80 million, which proved prohibitive.

Barcelona considered him after his agent Jorge Mendes put his name on the table, but they chose to sign Raphinha instead. This left Silva waiting for Frenkie de Jong to leave, which never happened.

He hopes to reactivate the option this summer, and his agent has reported his situation’ to Barcelona and Real Madrid in the hopes of piquing their interest.

He is not currently a priority for the latter, but there is speculation that an ‘extensive reshuffle’ is in the works, which could pave the way for a move.

PSG is also interested in Silva, but he is currently only interested in playing in Spain and would only consider joining the Parisians if a move to La Liga was completely ruled out.
