Spurs want a ‘tremendous’ defender, according to journalist claims.

Martin Lipton spoke to Off The Ball about Tottenham’s search for a new center-back this summer.

The north London club will be looking for a new defender in the summer, as Clement Lenglet returns to Barcelona following his loan spell.

Piero Hincapie of Bayer Leverkusen is one of the players Spurs are interested in, according to Lipton.

Indeed, the north London club is said to be interested in Hincapie as well as Napoli’s Kim-Min Jae.

Lipton discussed Tottenham’s interest in the Bundesliga star.

“Hincapie is being looked at by Bayer Leverkusen. The Korean in Napoli who used to play for Fenerbahce, but why would you leave Napoli now? Skriniar was one of them, but he’s already committed to PSG. “I don’t believe there is any serious interest in Maguire right now,” Lipton said.

GETTABLE
Tottenham is interested in signing Hincapie, and you have to believe that a deal could be struck.

According to some reports, Hincapie wants to join Spurs, and after an underwhelming season with Leverkusen thus far, a number of top stars may be looking to leave the German club soon.

Hincapie’s ability on the ball and left-footedness fit Spurs’ style, and at the age of 21, he still has a lot of room to grow.

The so-called ‘tremendous’ defender is definitely one to watch.
