Tottenham are reportedly looking to sign a 10-goal ‘top, top player’ on a free transfer.

Tottenham Hotspur is interested in signing Daichi Kamada, and a battle with Barcelona is expected to heat up in the coming months.

This is according to a report from Sponichi in Kamada’s home country of Japan.

According to their sources, Barcelona and Tottenham are both interested in signing Kamada.

The Eintracht Frankfurt playmaker’s contract expires at the end of the season, and he appears set to leave Germany.

This means Kamada is free to sign a pre-contract agreement with another club right now, which could explain why Barcelona and Tottenham are interested.

This battle for Kamada is expected to heat up in the coming weeks and months, with a big decision awaiting that attacking midfielder.

TOTTENHAM WOULD BENEFIT FROM A PLAYER LIKE DAICHI KAMADA.
Fabio Paratici, who, let’s not forget, loves a free transfer, completed a couple of good deals in January.

Pedro Porro, a quality attacking right wing-back, has arrived, while Arnaut Danjuma has arrived to provide another option on the left wing.

Tottenham still needs to make additions in the summer, including a left-sided center-back and another goalkeeper.

Tottenham also lacks a true playmaker, even if it is only someone who can come off the bench and add some guile in the final third.

Kamada fits the bill, having scored 12 goals and assisted on five others in just 26 games for Frankfurt this season.

The 26-year-old has established himself as a real difference maker in the final third for the Bundesliga club, almost exclusively playing as an attacking midfielder.

Joe Cole described Kamada as a “top, top player” after he gave West Ham “absolute nightmares” in the Europa League last season.

A move to Tottenham would undoubtedly appeal to Kamada, and while a move to Barcelona will be difficult to resist, Kamada’s profile as a dangerous number 10 is exactly what Spurs are looking for to turn games in their favor.
