Erik ten Hag believes Jadon Sancho will regain his form.

Several Manchester United players are having their best seasons ever under Erik ten Hag, who has greatly improved several first-team stars.

Marcus Rashford, the most obvious beneficiary of Ten Hag’s appointment, is one goal away from reaching the 20-goal mark for the season after 18 difficult months.

Ten Hag has also influenced Diogo Dalot, the former Porto star who has replaced Joao Cancelo as Portugal’s first-choice right-back.

After a difficult first season, supporters hoped that Jadon Sancho would be one of the players revitalized by Ten Hag, but it hasn’t quite worked out.

Sancho had been out of the team for nearly three months and had only recently returned

His first appearance for the club since October 2022 came in a 2-0 win over Nottingham Forest in the Carabao Cup.

Ten Hag has showered Sancho with praise and insisted he will return to his best 18 months after his big-money move from Dortmund.

Ten Hag describes the young winger as a match-winner and appears to be confident that the former Manchester City youth player will eventually start to tick.

“I think the best moment was how the fans embraced him,” Ten Hag told the official Manchester United website of Sancho’s return to Old Trafford against Nottingham Forest.

“That reception will beckon and motivate him to bring even more. Fans enjoy his game, and he is an excellent football player.

“We are delighted to have him back because he can contribute his creativity, speed, and intelligence. He can call football games, which is exactly what we expect of him. He will do exactly that.”

SN’s decision…
The rest of this season feels like the most important period of Sancho’s career, and it could have a significant impact on the rest of his time at the club. Rashford is untouchable on the left side, which is Sancho’s preferred position, and if he signs a new long-term contract, that position will be secured.

United recently spent big money to sign Antony for the other flank, and Alejandro Garnacho is quickly rising through the ranks. It will not be easy for Sancho, but on talent alone, he will be optimistic.
