Erik ten Hag and Manchester United have signed a “superstar” player to

Manchester United has reportedly spoken with Crystal Palace forward Wilfried Zaha’s representatives.

THE DETAILS: FIRST, OLD TRAFFORD STINT Zaha moved from Selhurst Park to Old Trafford in 2013, but he struggled to make an impact in the Premier League for the Red Devils.

The Ivory Coast international made only four senior appearances for the club before being loaned out to Cardiff City and Palace before returning to London on a permanent basis.

Zaha, 30, has made 450 appearances for the Eagles and scored 165 goals, with his contract set to expire in the summer.

THE LATEST: UNITED CONTACT London World reporter Rahman Osman provided an update on Zaha, claiming that Tottenham is confident of retaining his services.

However, United and AS Roma have both contacted the player’s representatives.

AVOID? IS THE VERDICT?
Zaha, dubbed ‘unplayable’ by former Premier League defender James Collins, has been a key player for Palace since his return and is currently the club’s top scorer under Patrick Vieira.

However, he is primarily a left-winger, a position where Marcus Rashford has excelled under Erik ten Hag, scoring 14 league goals from that position.

United has a number of wide attacking options in addition to Rashford, but limited numbers in the middle, so it may be best to avoid a move for Zaha and instead pursue a marquee center-forward, with both Harry Kane and Victor Osimhen linked.
