Report: Italian giant has made a move to sign leicester city talented star

Kelechi Iheanacho has made 204 appearances for Leicester City since moving there from Manchester City, scoring 55 goals and creating 32 assists

Serie A powerhouse Inter Milan is keeping tabs on Nigerian ace Kelechi Iheanacho, Soccernet. ng reports.

The Nigerian talent, who has been instrumental in Leicester City’s offensive threats this season, has caught the attention of the Italian side.

Following this, the Super Eagles striker is therefore said to be a potential possibility for acquisition for the San Siro outfit when the summer transfer market opens, according to a report by Inter Live.

Inter Milan, according to Football Insider, is willing to sell Lautaro Martinez this summer in order to raise funds for the summer transfer window.

However, they are in a hot chase for a perfect replacement for the Argentine striker if they eventually sell off the forward in the coming transfer window.

The East Midlands, who moved up to 16th in the standings following their draw with Everton, are in for a big summer with several players’ contracts about to expire and Iheanacho’s contract left with a year.

Despite this, rumors suggest that Iheanacho will be leaving Leicester if Dean Smith’s team does not manage to keep their Premier League position.

The Nigerian international is entering the last year of his contract. Thus, Inter Live does not completely rule out the possibility that he would leave even if the Foxes remain in the Premier League.

Dean Smith learns from ‘The Roy Keane school’ of goalkeeping as he gives Daniel Iversen’s verdict

The Leicester City goalkeeper produced a series of excellent stops to help his side earn a point in their 2-2 draw with Everton on Monday night but his wait for a clean sheet goes on

Dean Smith admitted he took lessons at the “Roy Keane school” of goalkeeper opinions but still praised goalkeeper Daniel Iversen for his role in Leicester City’s 2-2 draw against Everton.

Former Manchester United captain Keane is infamously critical of goalkeepers, often wryly referring to lauded saves as stops he would expect a number one to make.

City manager Smith has said he is of a similar opinion but recognized the importance of Iversen’s stops in the draw against Everton after his defense failed to substantially protect the Dane for the first time since the new manager took charge.

While conceding twice, Iversen also made six saves, most notably with an instinctive stop to deny Alex Iwobi early on, and then to turn Abdoulaye Doucoure’s drive around the post a few minutes before full-time.

“He made some really good saves,” Smith said. “It will give him and the players in front of him some confidence. We’ve protected him really well in the first three games. Not so much today.

“He’s had to make some really good saves. I’m a little bit from the Roy Keane school. Goalkeepers are there to make saves. Their job is to keep the ball out of the net. But I’m really pleased with him today.

What Iversen needs now is a first Premier League clean sheet. He’s conceded in all eight of his appearances since coming in for Danny Ward, meaning the club has now gone 19 matches since they last stopped a Premier League opponent from scoring. A run of 19 matches without a clean sheet is the club’s longest in a single season since 1957.
