‘It’s over’: Tottenham told in-work manager could leave amid ‘bonkers’ owner relationship

‘BONKERS’: TOTTENHAM SENT LUCIANO SPALLETTI MESSAGE AMID NAPOLI EXIT RUMOURS

Don Hutchison says it’s ‘over’ between Napoli and Luciano Spalletti amid the Tottenham Hotspur manager target’s ‘bonkers’ relationship with the club’s owner.

After winning the Serie A title for the first time in over 30 years for Napoli, it has put Luciano Spalletti’s name right amongst the legends of Naples.

But it seems as though Spalletti is going to head for the exit door this summer, although, former Liverpool midfielder Hutchison was asked if he can see the in-demand coach going to Tottenham and he responded by saying ‘I can’t see him coming to England’, as he told ESPN.

If there was a Manager of the Season award for all the European leagues, then someone like Spalletti’s name would probably be at the top of that list.

That’s the type of wave the 64-year-old is currently riding and it has seen his name being tipped for the managerless Tottenham job.

Could Daniel Levy do the unthinkable and manage to persuade another trophy-winning Italian coach to Spurs? Well, Hutchison can’t see it happening, as he named his next possible destination, that’s if he leaves Napoli.

On if Spaletti could go to Juve or Spurs: “Probably more likely to go to Juve,” said Hutchison. “I don’t see Spalletti coming to England. That’s if he leaves Napoli.

“I mean that relationship, between him and the owner, is bonkers. Spalletti is quiet. Doom and gloom. The owners are just mad. They just clash for fun.

“Tomorrow, they might be best of friends. But, as it stands, it seems to be over between the pair. I think Spalletti has come out and said that he has made his mind up.”

SPALETTI SHOULD STAY AWAY FROM TOTTENHAM JOB

Just ask Antonio Conte what it’s like managing Tottenham, and you probably wouldn’t get the response you would want.

This isn’t a case of not wanting to manage the club, but having to deal with the incapabilities of the players and the man running the club’s ship – Daniel Levy.

Many trophy-winning managers have failed in north London, if Spurs come knocking for Spaletti, he should stay away and look back on the way Conte left as a warning of what he could get himself into.
