Stan Collymore predicts the result of West Ham United’s final-day Premier League clash v Leicester City

Stan Collymore has made his predictions for the final day of the Premier League season, including the clash between West Ham and Leicester.

The Hammers are already safe from relegation but head to the King Power Stadium to face a Leicester side who must get a result to have any chance of survival.

And while writing on his personal Twitter account (28 May), the former Liverpool striker backed the Foxes to get a win against West Ham with a 2-0 win.

It’s hard to know what type of team David Moyes is going to go for in this game knowing that there is nothing on the line for West Ham, but also knowing that we have a European Cup final next week.

The manager will want to name a strong team to get a result because it’s always good to build momentum ahead of a big game, and there’s no better way to do that than by playing well and winning.

But he also has to consider the fact that Leicester will be right up for the game and if any key players were to pick up an injury during the game they would be short on time to recover.

Playing some of the fringe players would also provide them with an opportunity to be able to stake a claim for a place in the team, which could see the heightened performance.

Ultimately this game is about Leicester and not West Ham, and the Hammers fans will just want to come through it unscathed regardless of the result.
