Leeds United have been linked with a move for Rangers midfielder Glen Kamara throughout the summer, and we could see a conclusion to this saga in the coming days.

Ethan Ampadu came in as Leeds’ first senior signing of the summer under Daniel Farke, and already looks a shrewd addition to the squad.

However, more depth is needed in midfield with Archie Gray currently partnering him while playing virtually every minute in August.

Glen Kamara to Leeds?

Mail Plus have claimed that Leeds still retain interest in signing Rangers midfielder Glen Kamara, with the Finland international yet to kick a ball for the Glasgow giants this season.

Illness scuppered the 27-year-old’s preparations for the start of this season, while speculation has been rife linking him with a move away from Ibrox, in particular to West Yorkshire and Elland Road

The 4th Official claimed last week that the Finnish midfielder would be set to leave the club, as a move was expected to be finalised this week.

His destination is unnamed in the report, with Leeds seemingly the most prominently-linked club for the soon-to-be-departing midfield.

Should Leeds cash in on Gnonto?

Kamara would be a great signing for us, but I just have worries about his fitness after being ill at the back end of Rangers’ pre-season.

There is no denying that his quality on the ball would seriously improve our options, as well as potentially pushing Gray into a more advanced position, rather than being the first recipient when we build up from the back.

How much we pay would be interesting, given that he’s been sure to leave Rangers for some time this summer.
