Chelsea is in talks to hijack Mudryk’s deal for £90 million after Shakhtar trolls Arsenal fans.

Chelsea in talks over £90million bid to hijack Arsenal target Mykhailo Mudryk after Shakhtar Donetsk troll Gunners fans by teasing Player of the Year announcement on Twitter

Chelsea is attempting to derail Arsenal’s pursuit of Shakhtar Donetsk winger Mykhailo Mudryk, according to talkSPORT.

Chelsea’s board of directors is in Poland attempting to reach an agreement with the 22-year-old Ukraine star.

Mudryk wants to join Arsenal, but his current club is showcasing him while they can.
The Blues are willing to pay £90 million for the Ukrainian after Arsenal made a third £80 million bid on Friday.

Mudryk’s preferred destination remains the Emirates, but Arsenal and Shakhtar have yet to reach an agreement.

Meanwhile, Shakhtar Donetsk teased Arsenal fans on Saturday with an announcement

“We have some news for you today,” the Ukrainian Premier League club tweeted on Saturday morning, accompanied by a pair of eye emojis.

They then posted again after an hour, saying, “Seems like it’s time to reveal the first piece…”

Shakhtar then tweeted a schedule of upcoming Turkey training camp games.

With Gunners fan’s eyes still glued to their Twitter feed, they wrote: “There are more interesting things coming up. We are ready to share another piece of news as soon as our page reaches 51 thousand subscribers”, followed by “Mudryk?” with a thinking face emoji.

And after leaving Arsenal Twitter on edge for another 25 minutes as they hoped they’d announce his departure for north London, Gunners fans were left disappointed.

Rather than suggesting he was heading for the exit, Shakhtar used the opportunity to announce Mudryk was their Player of the Year instead.

They then followed that up with four posts of their star man, including an interview with him

Shakhtar’s Twitter account benefited from the teasing as well, gaining 4,400 followers after they began luring Arsenal fans to follow them.

On Friday, Arsenal made a third offer for Mudryk worth around £80 million, consisting of £62 million plus add-ons.

Following the news of the bid, the player posted a praying emoji in an Instagram story, which was then deleted.

This isn’t the first time Mudryk has hinted on social media about wanting to be a Gunner, and Mikel Arteta has said he’s aware of the posts as well.
