And he stood completely alone.

While Jack Grealish wasn’t able to break down Spurs, his promising performance showed glimpses of what he could be for Guardiola on an otherwise difficult day for City.

Grealish was the clear choice of Man of the Match taking in 45% of the vote.

The record signing for City made an impression – if not an impact. There’s plenty more to come from Grealish as he gets to grips with his new role at a new club.

If the main choice wasn’t the £100m man, it was up for debate. The entire squad attracted votes, but second-placed Ferran Torres was miles off the tally – picking up only 9%.
