Atalanta have made enquiries into Manchester United and Manchester City linked midfielder Pape Sarr who plays for Metz in France.
The 18-year-old midfielder has established himself in the Metz starting eleven and has been attracting the prying eyes of several clubs in Europe.
A full Senegal international, Sarr is being closely followed by several scouts and he has also been linked with a move to the Premier League.
Manchester United and Manchester City have been tipped as their admirers and he is also attracting interest from Italy.
According to Italian outlet Tutto Mercato, Atalanta have put in enquiries to assess the possibility of signing the teenage midfielder this summer.
The Italian club are known for having an eye for young talent and often gamble on young players in the first team.
They now have their eye son Sarr and are considering taking him to Bergamo in the ongoing transfer window.
But Metz are aware of the quality they have in the form of Sarr and have set a steep asking price for him.
The French club want around €40m before they can agree to sell the youngster this summer.
