New Chelsea player reveals how he watched Blues win the Champions League

New Chelsea striker Romelu Lukaku could well be set for his debut today as the team get ready to face Arsenal in the Premier League.

Of course it will not be the first time Lukaku has worn that Chelsea shirt and turned out for The Blues, but this time around everything feels different.

The club have been building it up all week with various Lukaku content and interviews across their channels, and there have been some lovely quotes going around as Lukaku joined up with his new team mates on his return to Cobham.

Team mates that he actually watched win the Champions League at the end of last season, as he revealed via the Chelsea website. Lukaku was actually watching the game at home with his son.

He said that as soon as he saw all the players emerging from the tunnel, he knew that Chelsea were going to win the game and become European Champions once again.

Lukaku said:

“I was watching at home with my son! I knew they were winning when I saw the players in the tunnel before they went on the pitch. There was a clear image in the tunnel, and they showed both teams.

‘They showed the Manchester City players and when I looked at the Chelsea players, the focus, especially Azpi (Cesar Azpilicueta) and Antonio Rudiger, I was like “yeah I know that look, I know that focus”. I knew it was over’”.
