Chelsea will aim to continue their impressive run of form today when they face Tottenham. The Blues are undefeated this season and things look bright for Thomas Tuchel.

Spurs themselves are in pretty good form. They did get hammered 3-0 by Crystal Palace last time out in the Premier League, however.

Here is how today’s Chelsea team might look against Tottenham:

Chelsea look like a genuine contender to lift the title this season. Tuchel has solidified them at the back and in adding Romelu Lukaku, he’s got some serious firepower in attack.

Ahead of today’s game we looked at who could start for the Blues during this afternoon’s London-derby. No changes here from Tuchel. He is likely to stick with his trusted rearguard, with Edouard Mendy in goal. The back three will be made of Andreas Christensen, Antonio Rudiger and Cesar Azpilicueta who will likely captain the side.

Ben Chilwell has endured a rotten few months. He didn’t get utilised at Euro 2020 and has now lost his Chelsea place to Marcos Alonso, who should start again today.

On the other side expect Reece James to continue. He has been in good form this season and is supremely talented.

In the middle, Tuchel could make one change from the team that defeated Zenit in midweek.

N’Golo Kante could return to the starting line-up in place of Mateo Kovacic to partner with the impressive Jorginho.

Lukaku picks himself. The powerful frontman has been in wonderful form and is a superb signing by Chelsea.

Behind him, there could be another change, with Kai Havertz coming in to replace Hakim Ziyech who played in midweek.

The £150,000-a-week star looks like developing into a truly elite player and Chelsea are lucky to have him.

He should play in a double pivot alongside Mason Mount as they look to create chances aplenty for Lukaku.
