Tottenham Hotspur head coach Nuno has praised Chelsea manager Thomas Tuchel, as quoted in Football.London.
Nuno has said that Tuchel is doing an “amazing” job as the manager of Chelsea.
The former Wolverhampton Wanderers boss made the comments ahead of the London derby between Tottenham and Chelsea at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium on Sunday.
Tuchel was appointed the Chelsea manager in January 2021 and guided the Blues to Champions League success last season.
Chelsea are aiming to win the Premier League title this season.
Nuno told Football.London about Chelsea and Tuchel: “Very good team. Thomas [Tuchel] is doing an amazing job.
”Lots of strengths, they have an amazing squad, talented players they play good football, they are organised they are intense.
“They are European champions so we must value that as we do to all of the opponents but Sunday we will compete, that’s a promise.”
Chelsea are in better form at the moment and will head into the London derby as favourites.
However, Tottenham have home advantage, and they also have a good team.
Spurs have not done well in their last two competitive games, and Harry Kane looks isolated in attack.
However, Tottenham’s chances of winning cannot be written off.
Yes, Chelsea have a superior team and also have star striker Romelu Lukaku in top form.
But, Kane remains one of the best strikers on the planet, and Spurs also have home advantage.
Do not be surprised if the England international striker scores a goal or two, and Tottenham manage to eke out a win.
