Arsenal goalkeeper Aaron Ramsdale has raved about his teammate

Arsenal goalkeeper Aaron Ramsdale has raved about his teammate Takehiro Tomiyasu on the club’s Twitch channel.

Ramsdale, who moved to Arsenal from Sheffield United in the summer transfer window, has said that defender Tomiyasu loves football a lot, and that people forget that he is 22 years of age.

The goalkeeper said on Arsenal’s Twitch channel: “He loves football. He just lives and breathes football. You forget he is 22 years old.”

Tomiyasu joined Arsenal from Bologna on summer transfer deadline day and did not have a pre-season with the Gunners.

Tottenham Hotspur reportedly wanted to sign the 22-year-old Japan international defender, but it was Arsenal who eventually secured the services of the youngster.

Tomiyasu can play as a central defender or as a right-back, and it is at right-back where the youngster has played for Arsenal so far.

The Japanese player has done well, and it is safe to say that he is now the first-choice right-back for Arsenal.

Tomiyasu is only 22, which means that he is far from the finished article and has room to improve.

What it also tells us is that Arsenal have signed a player who can only get better and develop in the coming years.

The former Bologna star has hit the ground running at Arsenal, and it is not a surprise that his good form has coincided with Mikel Arteta’s side winning Premier League games.
