Kevin De Bruyne has praised Manchester City’s performance against Liverpool over the weekend.
Speaking to the club’s official website post-match, the Belgian international believed that City’s display against the Reds was the best he has seen from the club since arriving in 2015.
De Bruyne signed for City for £55m six years ago. And since then, the rivalry between City and Liverpool has gradually evolved into one of the most entertaining in English football.
The two sides have been the best and most successful sides in England since 2015. And De Bruyne believes that City’s performance against Liverpool was their best since his arrival to Manchester.
De Bruyne said: “I think the way we played at Anfield with all their supporters, in the six or seven years I’ve been at City, was by far the best one. That’s a good sign for me.”
The game as a whole was one of the most entertaining so far this season. With De Bruyne scoring the decisive equalising goal to rescue a point for City in the final ten minutes of the fixture.
