Arsenal are ramping up their efforts to sign new players before the deadline hits on Monday, with reports from Italy suggesting a move for Dejan Kulusevski is still on the cards for the Gunners.

Kulusevski is a name that’s been mentioned since the start of January. However, in recent weeks, talk of the Swede moving to England has died down somewhat. This, despite reported interest in him not only from Arsenal, but also their rivals, Tottenham. Reports had previously suggested Spurs were ready to splash £40m on the winger.

But now, according to SportMediaSet, it is Arsenal who appear most likely to sign the Juventus man. Their report claims that Kulusevski could still depart Turin before Monday. And while Sevilla and Spurs remain keen, it is suggested a move to Arsenal is the most likely path for him right now.

Juventus would need to accept a loan-to-buy offer from Arsenal for any deal to happen. Of course, this could end up being similar to the Gunners’ pursuit of Arthur Melo. That looks dead in the water, thanks in part to the two clubs not agreeing to suitable terms.

The Gunners’ pursuit of new players has become a tad desperate. After missing out on Dusan Vlahovic, Edu is under pressure to deliver. A pursuit of Jonathan David is also being considered.
