Man Utd could demand three players in PSG swap deal for Marcus Rashford

French news outlet Canal have claimed that PSG are in discussions with Rashford over a move at the end of the season.

It would likely see the 24-year-old replace Kylian Mbappe, whose contract expires in June and is being linked with the likes of Real Madrid.

United might choose to pursue a player-exchange transfer if they allow academy graduate Rashford to depart.

It was reported earlier this week that Herrera would only return to England if it was to join United.

The Athletic reported that the 32-year-old was of interest to Tottenham but that he would not want to play for Spurs.

United fans on social media have since called for Herrera’s return.

With a lack of midfield options, Ralf Rangnick could do with a player who departed Old Trafford in 2019.

That absence of midfielders has left Rangnick with a top-heavy squad.

Fred and Scott McTominay have been the regular pairing in the middle.

However, United could source an upgrade on the duo by signing the experienced Verratti.

The 29-year-old is considered one of the best holding midfielders in the world. He has played 17 times this season and scored a rare brace against Reims last week.

United’s right-backs have been criticised for their form under both Ole Gunnar Solskjaer and Rangnick.

The Red Devils spent a whopping £50m on Aaron Wan-Bissaka in 2019 but the former Crystal Palace star has struggled for consistency.

Wan-Bissaka’s attacking output has come under scrutiny, while Diogo Dalot has not been much more impressive when used by Rangnick.

United might struggle to tempt PSG’s first-choice right wing-back Achraf Hakimi, but could instead go for his understudy Dagba.
