The £200,000-a-week star is expected to agree to a move to Manchester United.

Harry Kane has won several individual awards but not even a single club title with Tottenham Hotspur. He will turn 29 in July and it is time for him to leave for a bigger club.

Last week, The Mirror revealed that Manchester United is planning to make a move to sign the England international in the summer transfer window.

More recently, former Man City defender, Joleon Lescott, has backed the £200,000-a-week star (The Daily Mail) to sign for Man United, who has a better chance than Spurs to win titles.

Lescott wrote in his column with LiveScore:

“Manchester United is one club I could see trying to lure him away in summer — and I think he’d consider that very strongly.”

“For all their faults, United are closer to winning trophies than Spurs right now. Not the Premier League, but knockout competitions. You could see them winning an FA Cup or Carabao Cup.”

Manchester United has not won a single trophy since winning the Community Shield, Europa League, and the League Cup under Jose Mourinho back in 2017.

So, I am not sure how Lescott thinks that we are closer to winning a title than Spurs, who actually have a proven quality manager in charge.

On the other hand, Kane is not an FA Cup or Carabao Cup level player, he is top class and deserves to play in the Champions League. For now, it seems highly unlikely that Man Utd will qualify for the next season’s CL.
