Manchester City isn’t short of center-backs with John Stones, Ruben Dias, Aymeric Laporte, and Nathan Ake, but La Voz Digital says the Sky Blues maybe after another – Víctor Chust.
The 22-year-old is currently on loan at Cadiz CF from Real Madrid’s Castilla team where he’s made 23 appearances in all competitions this season. Chust has featured 21 times for Real’s U19s, 26 times for the Castilla side, and three times for the first team.
Chust will return to Real this summer when his loan spell comes to an end, but he might have played his final game for Los Blancos if reports are to be believed.
The Valencia-born defender, who’s played for Spain at youth level, is believed to have impressed City’s scouts. The club’s representatives were wowed by his ‘speed’ and ‘ball output’, but it remains to be seen if he’s ever wearing the Sky Blues’ jersey.
would have stiff competition to get into City’s first-team and Cadiz are interested in extending his stay at the Estadio Nuevo Mirandilla, so time will tell where this story ends. It’s hard to see the 22-year-old coming to England and dethroning Laporte and Dias, so he may be staying in Spain.
