Speaking on The FA Cup’s YouTube channel, Fabinho has named Joe Gomez along with Jordan Henderson as the smartest player at Liverpool.
The Brazilian was tasked with answering a number of questions about his teammates, and he was asked who is the most intelligent player the Reds currently have.
The Anfield outfit has a number of footballers who seem to be very well-spoken off of the pitch and very smart on the pitch such as Thiago Alcantara, Andy Robertson, and James Milner, but according to Fabinho, Henderson and Gomez are two of the smartest.

Fabinho spoke about the smartest players at the club.
“Who is the most intelligent player at Liverpool?” The midfielder was asked.
INTELLIGENT
Anyone who has seen an interview with Jordan Henderson will know just how intelligent the ex-Sunderland man is.
The Liverpool captain is a keen thinker and he’s never been afraid to voice his opinions on any divisive topics in football.
Gomez, on the other hand, seems to be a bit more reserved in his manner, but the fact that Fabinho sees him on par with Henderson tells you just how intelligent he is.
At the age of just 24, Gomez may become more of a leader as time goes on, and who knows? Perhaps he could be a club captain or a manager one day, whether that’s at Liverpool or elsewhere.
