Reportedly, a relegated club is preparing to sell a £20 million player, and Arsenal is interested in signing him.

Arsenal is interested in Max Aarons, and Norwich City is planning to replace the right back during the summer transfer window.

Norwich has been relegated to the Championship after failing to retain their Premier League status.

In recent years, the Canaries have become the prototypical yo-yo club, securing promotions but then being relegated.

Dean Smith’s men are still looking for the right formula, and they may sell players this summer in order to reinvest.

One of them could be Aarons, a right-back who is attracting Premier League interest.

ARSENAL WANTS MAX AARONS

TEAMtalk is now reporting that Norwich is preparing for Aarons’ departure this summer.

Three Premier League clubs are said to be particularly interested in signing Aarons.

Manchester City is ‘long-term’ fans of Aarons and is keeping an eye on his situation, while rival Manchester United is also interested.

According to the report, Arsenal is also interested in Aarons as they consider their right-back options.

Takehiro Tomiyasu was impressed in his first season at the club, but he struggled with injuries in 2022 and may be viewed as a more defensive right back.

Cedric Soares provided adequate coverage, but Arsenal has been linked with more aggressive, attacking right-backs such as Djed Spence.

Aarons fits a similar profile for Arsenal, and The Sun claims he is worth around £20 million.

Aarons, 22, has made over 150 appearances for Norwich, 70 of which have come in the Premier League.

The right back was tipped to become a star a few years ago, but his progress has slowed at Norwich.

Aarons may now be ready to leave Norwich and try his luck elsewhere, and the Canaries appear to be preparing for his departure.

Arsenal’s decision may be influenced by Cedric’s future, which currently appears to be secure – and this may lead to Aarons leaving the club.
