This summer, Arsenal has been busy adding to Mikel Arteta’s team, bringing five new players to North London.

Reiss Nelson will reportedly have opportunities to impress the Arsenal manager this season even though the club has already bought Gabriel Jesus as a forward.

Nelson, who has been labeled “exceptional,” spent last season on loan at Feyenoord in the Netherlands. However, it appears like Arteta is finally willing to give the kid a chance.

According to The Athletic, Arteta might give Nelson an opportunity to earn his respect this season as the Arsenal manager tries to compete on all fronts.

However, it seems unlikely that the 22-year-old will begin matches before the Gunners’ Europa League campaign gets underway.

The Brazilian winger Marquinhos has been signed by Arsenal, although the Gunners’ manager has only infrequently played him throughout preseason.

Nelson will therefore likely have several opportunity to serve as a backup option on either wing throughout the upcoming season.

Nelson might be a nice backup option for Arsenal if they are unable to find another winger.
As he demonstrated for Feyenoord last year, the English teenager is capable of playing on either flank and as an offensive midfielder.

Nelson had a good time in Holland, scoring four goals and dishing out seven assists across all competitions.

There were rumors that Nelson would be sold this summer, but it appears that he will remain at Arsenal for the time being.

Bukayo Saka and Gabriel Martinelli, two outstanding wingers for Arteta, are their only true backup options after the club was unable to secure Raphinha this summer.

Nicolas Pepe may be up for sale this summer, according to reports, while Marquinhos appears to be a signing for the future rather than the present.

Nelson may play a significant role for Arteta this season, particularly in the early rounds of the Europa League, if Arsenal are unsuccessful in finding a replacement for Raphinha.

There may still be hope for the Gunners academy graduate to play at the Emirates Stadium if he does well in Europe.
