Liverpool is preparing an offer to sign the £195,000-a-week star.

Liverpool’s midfield needs to be improved in the current transfer window after a poor performance in their first Premier League game.

Thiago Alcantara has joined the list of injured players, and we clearly lack depth and quality in the center of the field. If the department is not strengthened this summer, we may have to give up on winning the PL title.

The Merseysiders have been linked with several high-quality midfielders, with Marcelo Brozovic coming up again.

The Liverpool club was interested in luring the Croatian international (Calcio Mercato – Inter Live) from Inter Milan last year, but he eventually signed a new contract with the Nerazzurri.

Calcio Mercato Web recently reported that Liverpool is preparing an offer to finally sign the 29-year-old star, who is regarded as one of the best midfielders in Serie A.

According to an Italian news source, Inter may sacrifice Brozovic in order to improve their financial situation, and in such a case, the Reds could offer Keita or Firmino a swap deal to entice the holding midfielder.

In the 2020-21 season, the former Dinamo Zagreb player won the Serie A title under Conte. Furthermore, under Inzaghi’s management, he won the Coppa Italia and the Italian Super Cup last season.

Apart from being a solid play breaker, he also contributed to the attack, scoring three goals and providing four assists across all competitions.

Brozovic was an important member of Croatia’s World Cup-winning national team in 2018. He has made 74 appearances for his country so far, and it will come as no surprise to see him at this year’s World Cup in Qatar.

The Serie A star’s current contract at the San Siro expires in the summer of 2026, and he earns around £195,000 per week in gross salary (Calcio e Finanza).
