Leicester City’s reaction to the King Power Stadium expansion decision has been described

Leicester City supporters have shared their delight after the Leicester City council approved the expansion plans of the King Power Stadium.

The City stadium will see an extra 8,000 seats inserted into the East Stand, taking the total stadium capacity from 32,312 to around 40,000. A new upper tier will be added with the area around the stadium also transformed.

A new 220-room hotel, a fanzine, a 20-story block of 234 new homes, a new club shop, a completely separate 6,000-seat indoor arena, and a multi-story car park for around 525 cars and 80 bicycles will all be added following the approval.

Members of the City Council expressed their excitement about the expansion plans, with the benefits the changes will make to the city highlighted. The expansion will see the King Power Stadium become the 10th-biggest in the Premier League.
