Jesse Marsch has named his Leeds United starting lineup for Thursday’s match against Leicester City at the King Power Stadium.
Leeds United travel to 20th-placed Leicester City looking to put an end to their six-game losing streak. The Whites were extremely unlucky to leave Elland Road empty-handed after a frustrating 1-0 loss to Arsenal on Sunday.
Leeds confirmed Thursday’s lineup via Twitter, with Marsch making four changes to the squad. Junior Firpo replaces the injured Pascal Struijk, while Diego Llorente, Crysencio Summerville, and Patrick Bamford all start.
Leicester will be looking to build on their 0-0 draw to Crystal Palace on the weekend. Brendan Rodgers’ side has won just once this season but looks confident at home after conceding just one goal in their last three home fixtures.
Leeds’ best performances this season have actually come against sides in the top half of the table, so Thursday night’s clash against Leicester will surely have Leeds fans biting their nails.
The Whites have struggled when teams have sat back and defended as a unit, and therefore they tend to impress against teams that play openly and create space in the game – just like Arsenal on the weekend.
But, while Leicester does sit bottom of the league, it’d be a surprise if Rodgers instructs his side to play defensively against Leeds considering the mounting pressure over his job.

Patrick Bamford and Rodrigo were both wasteful on Sunday against the Gunners. They’ll need to have much more composure in front of the goal if Leeds are to finally end their winless run.
