After Luis Diaz and Diogo Jota, another Liverpool star has been ruled out until 2023.

According to the Liverpool Echo, the Reds will now be without Kaide Gordon until 2023, with Jürgen Klopp also missing Luis Diaz and Diogo Jota.

KAIDE GORDON LEAVES LIVERPOOL
Those in the AXA Training Centre’s treatment room are certainly being made to work for their money this season.

Having already treated Thiago, Ibrahima Konate, Naby Keita, and Trent Alexander-Arnold this season, Liverpool’s medical staff recently ruled Diaz out until 2023 due to a knee injury suffered against Arsenal.

Then, Jota damaged his calf in the 1-0 win over Manchester City, which has ruled him out of the World Cup and also looks set to keep him out until 2023.

Now, Liverpool has also lost Gordon until the New Year.

The 18-year-old burst onto the scene last term with his first goal for Liverpool, following a £1m move from Derby in 2021.

However, Gordon is yet to make a single appearance this season as a result of a pelvic injury.

The Liverpool Echo believes the Reds have given the teenager a specialized training program to follow, and with those at Anfield worried about rushing the youngster, he will be sidelined until 2023.

Of course, the Derby-born forward is nowhere near as important to Klopp as Diaz and Jota, but he still represents a decent squad option who the German is unable to call upon.

LIVERPOOL COULD DO WITH KAIDE GORDON

Liverpool is so badly lacking in depth thanks to years of underinvestment from Fenway Sports Group (FSG), that they could actually do with Gordon being available right now.

The Liverpool No.49 was trusted to start the crucial second leg of the Carabao Cup semi-final against Arsenal last season and played a vital role as the Reds won 2-0 at the Emirates Stadium.

Klopp barely had any attacking options behind those who started against Nottingham Forest, so if Gordon can regain full fitness before Diaz and Jota, he could get more chances to shine.
