‘One of the best’: Tottenham told their £12m player is truly world class

Hugo Lloris of Tottenham Hotspur is one of the best goalkeepers in the world.

According to former Tottenham Hotspur defender Younes Kaboul.

Lloris is preparing to play for France in a World Cup quarterfinal against England on Saturday in Qatar.

The 36-year-old goalkeeper is potentially only three matches away from winning a second-successive World Cup title.

Lloris, a £12 million signing by Tottenham [Mirror], has endured a difficult last few months under Antonio Conte, posting a number of suspect performances overall.

But in his day, there’s no denying his influence and ability.

And here’s what Kaboul said about the Frenchman.

He told the club’s official website: “He’s a legend of France and Tottenham. He’s had success, he’s been consistent, and he’s made his mark on French football, forever.

“I hope he will play as long as he can and continue to be recognized as one of the best goalkeepers in the world. He looks after himself, he’s performing and he’s playing every game. I’m sure he wants more. I don’t think he’s looking to retire any time soon!”

WORLD CLASS?

If Kaboul is arguing that the Tottenham stopper is one of football’s finest then that, by definition, would mean the big man is arguing that Lloris is of a world-class standard.

And honestly, he is at the best of times.

But as mentioned, Lloris absolutely has a mistake in him and it all depends on which version of the Lilywhites veteran is going to turn up tomorrow.
