FC Twente midfielder Manfred Ugalde has made it clear to those in charge at Manchester City that he is unhappy with his playing time at the Dutch club this season.
That’s according to the player himself, who says he has made his feelings clear about his loan deal and what he would like to happen.
Ugalde is actually owned by the Belgian side Lommel SK, which is part of the City Group network of clubs around the world.
He was sent out on loan to Twente in the summer to play regularly and continue his development but that has not proven to be the case.
Instead, he has played a bit part role at best, featuring in just 20% of the available minutes in the league and 3% in the Europa Conference League qualifiers.
That’s something he is less than happy about, revealing his disappointment in a conversation with ESPN, where he called out the Manchester City bosses in the process.
“As you say, I have not been getting the minutes I want, but I also understand that I am in an important team in Holland, fighting for Champions League and Europa League places,” he said.
“They are very high-level players, obviously I want to play much more, the people of Manchester know that also my agent, I am here focused on doing a good preseason and being ready in these months.
“We are calm, focused on the preseason, every footballer will always want to play, I feel calm at the moment.
“I feel comfortable with the group, and coaches, and they are the ones who make the decisions, I leave that to my agent, he will know, I have to see what God has in store for my future.”
