Journalist: Newcastle has the opportunity to recruit a “exceptional” player on loan for £13.3 million.

Newcastle United has been given the opportunity to acquire Joao Felix, but any acquisition would be pricey.

Journalist Ben Jacobs claims that Atletico Madrid is eager to execute a loan without the option to purchase.

Newcastle’s latest offer would cost them around £13.3 million in loan fees and salary, and the player would only spend six months at St. James’ Park.

While Felix may be an intriguing addition, the value for that kind of investment doesn’t seem to be that high.

Newcastle accepted Joao Felix’s offer.

Newcastle’s pursuit for the top four may entice Eddie Howe’s team to make significant purchases in January.

But since PIF’s entrance, Newcastle has moderated expectations for new hires, and their approach has shown to be quite wise thus far.

It would go against practically everything PIF has done at the club thus far if Newcastle were to pay over the odds to recruit Felix on a loan.

We do not believe that this transfer has a possibility of happening unless the conditions of the agreement alter.

On the surface, Felix seemed to have potential as a member of Newcastle’s team. Just ask Kieran Trippier, who told BBC Sport that Felix was “really unique.”

When healthy, Callum Wilson is an excellent number nine, but when injured, he continues to show himself to be unreliable.

Newcastle does have other striker alternatives with Chris Wood as a backup, but few are as talented as Felix.

Even if the Portuguese star may not have enjoyed himself as much at Atletico, Diego Simeone’s defensive strategies are frequently to blame rather than the player’s own skills.

Felix performed admirably for Portugal in Qatar despite receiving more freedom than he does for his club team.

The 23-year-old can glide past opponents while dribbling with excellent technique.

Although he hasn’t had the best scoring record since arriving to Spain, his creative abilities are undeniable.

With players like Miguel Almiron and Allan Saint-Maximin, Felix’s addition would only increase Newcastle’s danger in one-on-one scenarios.

However, despite having the option to sign him, there now seems to be little prospect of this happening until the conditions of the agreement can be agreed.
