Tottenham Hotspur is now reportedly eyeing a move for Leandro Trossard – who Jamie Redknapp labeled as one of his favorite players.
Antonio Conte will be desperate to bring in some fresh faces this month after a difficult run of form over the past 10 games.
Spurs have seemingly turned a corner with positive results against Crystal Palace and Portsmouth, but they will need reinforcements if they are to secure their place in the Champions League once again.
Despite Bryan Gil’s strong performances last week, injuries to Dejan Kulusevski and Richarlison have highlighted the necessity for another forward player at Spurs.
Tottenham is interested in signing Trossard, whose contract at Brighton expires at the end of the season, according to the Daily Mail on Monday morning.
Conte’s men are said to be admirers of the Belgian and he would be open to moving to north London.
The 28-year-old has been exceptional for the Seagulls this season, scoring seven goals and registering three assists in the Premier League.
And the Belgian has received high praise from former Tottenham man, Jamie Redknapp, after his displays from the left-hand side.

“They [Brighton] aren’t afraid to sell players because they can find the next one to come in, a bit like Brossard,” Redknapp told Sky Sports back in November.
“They know clubs are going to be coming in for him in January or at the end of the season, but they can live with it.
“He is one of my favorite players and he has been for a few years. He just sees the game so well. He has every trick in the book. He can pass. He presses really well. He has got lovely skills. You press him and he will walk past you.” as quoted by HITC.
Spurs desperately need another attacking player, as Conte has been severely underutilized in recent weeks.
Heung-Min Son has struggled with confidence, while Richarlison’s Tottenham debut has been delayed by injuries.
Brossard would be a fantastic addition to the team, but Brighton apparently has the option to extend his contract by a year, which may drastically increase his price.
