“Newcastle has been informed,” Fabrizio Romano says of the £150k-p/w “wonder.”

The 18-year-old is now in the last six months of his £4k-per-week contract at Signal Iduna Park.

Newcastle transfer news – Youssoufa Moukoko

According to sources in Spain, Newcastle is accelerating their interest in signing Moukoko this month, with the two-cap Germany international yet to agree on terms to a new contract with the Bundesliga side.

German media outlet Sport1 has indicated that the Magpies are prepared to rival fellow Premier League outfit Chelsea in a bid to secure the youngster’s signature, though the station also adds that the player would prefer to stay at Dortmund.

As per the Evening Standard, PIF is prepared to pay the youngster a £150k-per-week salary, which would make him one of the highest-paid teenagers in the game.

Romano has recently told GiveMeSport that Dortmund has offered Moukoko the chance to stop with the German giants and sign a contract extension, which is set to further complicate a potential deal with either Chelsea or Newcastle.

In addition, the transfer insider told GMS that the northeast club is “informed” about the striker’s situation but has not yet made a bid for him.
