Liverpool’s board of directors has four candidates to replace Jurgen Klopp as the crisis at Anfield worsens.

Liverpool is currently mired in a rut, with Jurgen Klopp in charge of a 3-0 Premier League defeat to Brighton on Saturday night.

There is currently no indication that Jurgen Klopp will leave Liverpool. After all, he has plenty of accolades to his name, having won all four major trophies during his time at Anfield. However, his sour demeanor and deteriorating results suggest that an exit isn’t entirely out of the question, especially given the season they’re currently having.

Last season, Liverpool was aiming for a historic quadruple, with the Reds flying under Klopp’s excellent management.

But the Merseyside giants were ultimately able to win just the Carabao Cup and FA Cup while missing out on the Premier League and Champions League titles.

Ever since Liverpool has looked unrecognizable. Their season has gone from bad to worse and Saturday’s chastening 3-0 defeat to Brighton was certainly a new low.

Klopp is unhappy, that much is clear. He’s fed up with having to answer questions about signings, while also hammering home the fact the Reds don’t have the money to compete with some of their rivals.

If the situation deteriorates, a breakup may be in the works. Klopp appears to be cursed, having previously endured a similar ordeal at Borussia Dortmund.

As a result, Express Sport will now look at four options Liverpool could pursue if the unthinkable occurs. He’s safe for the time being, but football can be a strange old game…
