Tottenham could make a £20 million offer for a center-back this month, according to reports.

While most outlets have been focused on Tottenham’s pursuit of Pedro Porro over the last week, The Daily Mirror claimed on Saturday that the North London club could also make a move for Hincapie in addition to the Spaniard this window.

The report explained that should Spurs get a deal for the center-back over the line, they could decide to loan him back out to Leverkusen for the rest of the season.

Tottenham’s interest in Hincapie has now been backed up by The Sun, who claim that Antonio Conte has prioritized singing a left-sided center-back this window, with the Italian said to be an admirer of the 21-year-old.

The report states that the Lilywhites could now be about to test Leverkusen’s resolve by making an opening offer of £20m for the defender.

While The Sun also suggests that Tottenham’s plan would be to loan Hincapie back to Leverkusen, they add that the Conte’s men are just one of many clubs who have their eye on the center-back.

This rumored deal for Hincapie has Paratici’s fingerprint all over it as the Spur’s managing director loves signing emerging talents and loaning them back out so that they continue developing.

However, this once again raises question marks on whether the Ecuadorian is Conte’s top target as the Italian might prefer readymade players like Alessandro Bastoni over the Leverkusen star.
