‘Won’t happen,’ a journalist says of Tottenham’s £89,000-a-week center-back.

According to CBS Sports journalist Ben Jacobs on Twitter, Antonio Conte’s Tottenham Hotspur will be unable to sign Inter Milan midfielder Alessandro Bastoni during the January transfer window.

As evidenced by the tweet below, Jacobs believes Tottenham will be unable to sign the central defender in the summer of 2023 as well.

Tottenham reportedly wanted to sign Bastoni in the summer of 2022, but the Italy international center-back, who earns £89,000 per week (SalarySport), refused to leave Inter.

According to CMW, Tottenham head coach Antonio Conte remains interested in the defender he worked with at Inter.

In our view, Tottenham Hotspur should remain positive about their chances of signing Alessandro Bastoni from Inter Milan.

We do not think that Inter will sell the 23-year-old in the middle of the season.

After all, Inter is aiming to finish in the top four of the Serie A table this season, and they will not surely want to damage their chances by selling any of their important players.

However, a move in the summer of 2023 could happen.

If Tottenham qualifies for next season’s UEFA Champions League and makes a good offer to Inter and Bastoni, then they could be able to bring the youngster to Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.
