Newcastle has inquired about a £108,000-a-week player interested in a move to PSG.

Newcastle has enquired about a £108,000-a-week player interested in a move to PSG.

According to Fabrizio Romano on Twitter, Malcolm is keen on a move to Paris Saint-Germain, and this will come as a blow for Eddie Howe’s Newcastle United.

Italian journalist Romano has claimed that PSG will hold talks with Zenit Saint Petersburg over signing Malcolm in the final days of the January transfer window.

The 25-year-old Brazilian forward himself wants to move to the defending Ligue 1 champions, according to Romano.

This will come as a blow for Newcastle, who have also been linked with the former Barcelona attacker.

FootMercato has reported that the Premier League club has made inquiries about signing the £108,000-a-week (SalarySport) forward.

The report claimed that the former Barcelona player has been offered to PSG.

PARIS SAINT-GERMAIN OVER NEWCASTLE UNITED FOR MALCOLM

We do not find it surprising at all that Malcolm is keen on a move to Paris Saint-Germain despite interest from Newcastle United.

Yes, Newcastle is doing extremely well in the Premier League at the moment, but PSG is one of the biggest and wealthiest clubs in the world.

PSG regularly wins Ligue 1 and competes in the UEFA Champions League.

And they have some of the best players on the planet, such as Lionel Messi, Kylian Mbappe, and Neymar.

Now, of course, PSG will have to agree on a transfer fee with Zenit, and Newcastle could well decide to pay more than the French club.

However, we believe that Malcolm would pick PSG over Newcastle even if the Magpies offer him more salary.

Meanwhile, A Bola has reported that Newcastle could make a late bid for Braga forward Vitinha.
