Fred, a Manchester United midfielder, reveals Erik ten Hag’s three rules that all players must follow.

Fred, a Manchester United midfielder, has revealed Erik ten Hag’s three golden rules, which all of his players must follow.

Since taking over as manager of Manchester United last year, the Dutchman has flexed his muscles to keep his players in line.

According to Sportsmail, Ten Hag has implemented strict dress codes, set meal times, a mobile phone ban, and harsh punishments for any wrongdoers in order to help United become a force in English football.

Brazilian midfielder Fred has now revealed how the Dutchman has implemented three strict rules in the United dressing room.

‘He has put rules [up] inside the dressing room,’ Fred said in an interview with the Times. Don’t be late, don’t do wrong things, and always do what you can to help your partner – this is critical.’

This season, England international Marcus Rashford has felt the wrath of Ten Hag’s rules.

Their star forward was benched for United’s New Year’s Eve win over the Wolves after admitting he slept in and missed a team meeting.

Despite the fact that Rashford came on in the second half and scored the game’s only goal.

Cristiano Ronaldo was also disciplined after storming down the tunnel after refusing to come on as a late substitute in Manchester United’s victory over Tottenham in October. He was benched for United’s next match against Chelsea.

Ten Hag’s rules have aided the Red Devils, who have improved their form this season.

After what was arguably their worst season in Premier League history, United have improved their performances this year, and players like Rashford have seen their fortunes turn around.

However, there is still a long way to go, as evidenced by United’s recent 3-2 loss to Arsenal, which leaves them 11 points off the top of the table.

Fred is another player who has impressed when he has played this season, despite the fact that he is no longer a regular starter at Old Trafford.

The arrivals of Casemiro and Christian Eriksen have pushed him to the bench, but with the latter out for three months due to injury, he will likely see more starts in the second half of the season.

So far this season, he has made 28 appearances across all competitions, but only ten have seen him start.

‘Fred has done it several times with his performances, for example against Tottenham Hotspur, for example against Manchester City,’ Ten Hag said before their 2-0 Carabao Cup win over Nottingham Forest this week.

‘When he comes on in the last game [against Reading], he scores right away. He possesses numerous qualities. Casemiro and Fred make an excellent team, in my opinion.

He’s in the Brazilian squad with Casemiro, which isn’t the worst in the world, in my opinion.

‘They have so many options, but they frequently prefer to play them together. So that says something about Fred’s quality and what he can bring to the team.’
