After making history against Manchester City yesterday, Harry Kane spoke to Viaplay Football and responded when asked if he will play for Tottenham Hotspur next season.

Spurs put in a fantastic performance in north London, earning a crucial three points against the Premier League champions thanks to Kane’s first-half goal.

After a well-taken finish in the 15th minute, the 29-year-old has now surpassed Jimmy Greaves’ long-standing record.

Kane has now scored 267 goals for the club, but it remains unclear whether he will remain in north London in the long term.

Kane responds when asked if he intends to stay at Tottenham.
The England captain’s current contract is set to expire at the end of next season, but The Athletic reports that he is open to extending it.

Kane was given the opportunity to confirm his future with the Spurs following yesterday’s game, but he declined.

“And all over the thing now with Harry Kane, will he leave the country?” Viaplay’s Jan Aage Fjortoft wondered. Will he travel to Germany? That sort of thing. Is that when you tell the Tottenham fans, ‘I’m here to stay?'”

“Yeah, I’m just here to play every game and give it my all for the badge, so we’ll see what happens,” he says.,” Kane replied.

“But I’m concentrating on this season; we’ve got the FA Cup, the Champions League, and we’re in a good position in the league to really try and push forward, so that’s all I’m concentrating on.”

It’s understandable that Kane is being coy about his future because so much depends on Tottenham’s performance this season.

Kane is clearly eager to compete for the biggest prizes, and despite Spurs’ progress under Antonio Conte, they appear to be a long way off right now.

The Italian’s future is also uncertain, with his contract set to expire at the end of the season. Conte’s decision will almost certainly have an impact on Kane’s decision to extend his stay in north London.
