‘Most exciting head coach I’ve seen in ten years,’ says reporter of who Leeds approached.

Marcel van der Kraan, a Dutch football expert, has described Leeds United target Arne Slot as the’most exciting head coach’ he has seen in a decade.

THE SUMMARY: BAD NEWS…
After missing out on Carlos Corberan and Andoni Iraola in recent days, the Whites appeared to be interested in Slot. An approach for the Feyenoord manager was made, with reports claiming Slot would be open to taking over at Elland Road.

A more recent update from the 44-year-old, however, insists he will remain in Holland, so Leeds may need to persuade him to reconsider a possible deal.

“It is true that I will stay with Feyenoord, I can say that with this one,” Slot said, as relayed by Adam Pope. That is clear; fans should not be concerned.”

THE LATEST: VAN DER KRAAN’S OBSERVATION
Van der Kraan, a Sky Sports contributor, was speaking to talkSPORT about Leeds and Slot on Thursday, before the coach’s comments became public.

According to Twitter, the 44-year-old is the’most exciting head coach I’ve seen in ten years,’ and he appeared surprised that he could move to Leeds, though he believes the manager will stay put.

Van der Kraan spoke highly of Slot, so if Leeds can pull this off, it could be a real managerial coup in the long run. Slot’s teams have shown in recent days that they enjoy playing full-throttle football, with Feyenoord having 85 shots on goal in their last two games.

It may take some time for him to implement his style on the Leeds squad, despite the fact that several members of the squad previously played under Marcelo Bielsa, who also preferred an attacking system.

Leeds, on the other hand, requires results in the short term, and with Slot averaging over two points per game for Feyenoord, he could be the man to bring back the feel-good factor in Yorkshire and give the Whites a boost an instant boost.

Andrea Radrizzani must change his mind.
